Delete your account

You can delete your Piggy account and all of your family's data at any time. Two ways:
1. From inside the app (fastest)
This is the recommended path. Your deletion happens instantly.
- Open Piggy and sign in as the parent (if you're not already).
- Go to Settings.
- Scroll to Advanced · Danger zone at the bottom.
- Tap Delete account and family data.
- Type DELETE in the confirmation box and tap the red Delete account button.
Your family's chores, balances, goals, and transaction history are wiped from our servers, your Google / Apple sign-in for Piggy is deactivated, and the local data on your phone is reset.
2. By email (if you've deleted the app already)
If you've uninstalled Piggy and can't get back into the app, email us:
Please include the email address you used to sign in to Piggy. We'll verify ownership (by replying to that email address), then delete your data within 7 business days and confirm by email.
What gets deleted
- Your parent profile (nickname, email tied to Piggy)
- Every kid's name, birthday, balances, chores, goals, transactions, and avatars
- Family-wide settings (currency, bucket split)
- Any pending invite codes for your family
- Any kid-device tokens issued for kids in your family
- Your Cognito identity used to sign in to Piggy
What about the other parent in a Family Plan?
Deleting your account today wipes the family for everyone. The other parent on your family will see a "You were removed" message the next time they open Piggy, with their local data preserved on their phone and the option to start a new family or join one with a code.
What about my App Store / Google Play subscription?
The subscription is managed by Apple or Google, not by us, so we can't cancel it. Open the Subscriptions section in the App Store or Google Play account and cancel from there. If you've already cancelled but the paid period hasn't ended, you'll keep Family Plan features until then; deleting your account doesn't refund the remainder.
What about Standalone (free) users?
Standalone mode keeps everything on your phone, so there's nothing on our servers to delete. To wipe your data, either delete the Piggy app, or use the in-app Settings → Danger zone → Reset all data action.
