Terms of Service

Short version: Piggy is an educational tracking app, not a bank. The "money" it tracks is whatever you and your kid agree to. The Family Plan subscription auto-renews until you cancel. We try our best to keep your data safe, but we're not liable for losses beyond what you paid.

1. About Piggy

Piggy is software provided by arivya, an independent technology company. These terms ("Terms") cover your use of the Piggy mobile app, this website at piggy.arivya.ai, and the Piggy cloud services that power Family Plan ("the Service").

2. What Piggy is, and isn't

Piggy is an educational money tracker. It helps you record chores, allowances, savings buckets, and goals for your kids. The "balances" in Piggy reflect agreements between you and your kids about money you control. Piggy does not hold, transfer, or invest actual money. The "7% interest" on the Future Vault and the FD yields are educational simulations, not financial products.

Piggy is not a bank, broker, custodian, money transmitter, or financial institution. We are not regulated as one. If your kid wants to spend their "balance", that's between you and your kid.

3. Who can use it

You must be a parent or legal guardian of any child whose data you add to Piggy. You must be at least 18 years old to create a parent account and accept these Terms on behalf of your family.

4. Your account and your data

You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials safe and for the activity on your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, sign out and contact support@arivya.ai.

You own your family's data. We process it on your behalf to deliver the Service, per our Privacy Policy.

5. Family Plan subscription

Pricing and renewal

Family Plan costs $12 per year (US pricing; regional pricing applies via the App Store and Play Store). The first 14 days are free as a trial. After the trial, your account is charged automatically through the App Store or Play Store and renews annually until you cancel.

Cancellation

You can cancel anytime in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. you keep Family Plan features until then. We don't charge cancellation fees.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple and Google per their store policies. We can't issue refunds directly. Reach out to support@arivya.ai if you have a special situation and we'll point you to the right form.

Lapsed subscriptions

If your subscription lapses, Piggy keeps your data in read-only mode for 90 days so you can renew without losing anything. After 90 days, the cloud copy is deleted; your phone's local copy is preserved until you delete the app.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. If we do, we'll tell you why.

7. Changes to the Service

We're a small team building this in the open. Features can change, get added, or get removed. We'll communicate big changes in-app and on this site. If we ever shut Piggy down entirely, we'll give at least 90 days notice and provide a way to export your data.

8. Disclaimers

Piggy is provided "as is". We try hard to make it work well but can't guarantee uninterrupted service, bug-free behavior, or that the educational interest simulations exactly match real-world rates. None of the content in Piggy is financial advice.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, arivya is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Piggy. Our total liability to you for any direct damages is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months (which, for free users, is zero).

10. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India (where arivya is based), without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Mumbai, India, except where your local consumer protection law gives you additional rights that can't be waived.

11. Changes to these terms

We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top when we change anything material and notify you in-app on next launch. Continued use after the notification means you accept the change. If you don't agree, you can delete your account.
